Evaluation of stitching-induced strain uncertainties in extended-field-of-view in situ X-ray tomography
New paper investigating how stitching local synchrotron X-ray tomography scans affects strain measurements by digital volume correlation. We find that stitching can increase strain uncertainty by a factor of 2-4 in overlapping regions, highlighting the importance of quantifying this uncertainty before analyzing in-situ deformation experiments.
